Our Approach Across All Sessions
All Hearthway services share a common methodology: structured, impartial, and entirely voluntary. We work from the understanding that families communicate better when the process is clear and the facilitator has no stake in the outcome.

We begin with a free consultation to understand your family's situation before recommending a service.
Shape the Session
Each session is adapted to what your family brings. The framework is consistent; the conversation is always yours.
Leave With Something Useful
Every session ends with a concrete takeaway — skills, an outcome, or a written record your family can keep.
Session One
Conversation Skills Sessions
Group educational workshops focused on listening, calm expression, and shared decision-making within families. These sessions are educational in nature — participants leave with practical communication skills they can use at home, not a set of instructions about what to decide.

- Active listening — hearing what's being said, not just waiting to speak

How the session runs:
Facilitator introduces the session structure and ground rules
Group exercises on listening and expression (approx. 90 min)
Shared decision framework walkthrough with your family's examples
Debrief and distribution of printed conversation kit
Session Two
Neutral Facilitation Meetings
Impartial, voluntary sessions where a neutral facilitator helps family members discuss shared arrangements respectfully. The facilitator holds no opinion on outcomes and does not advise. Their sole function is to keep the conversation structured and ensure all voices are heard in turn.

- De-escalation support if the conversation becomes heated

How the session runs:
Brief individual check-in with each party before the joint session
Facilitator explains the process and confirms voluntary participation
Facilitated joint discussion (approx. 90 minutes, flexible)
Summary of what was discussed, offered verbally or in writing
Session Three
Shared Notes & Records Support
Help organising a family's agreed points into clear written notes and a tidy keepsake record. This service is available as a standalone option or as a follow-on to a facilitation meeting. It produces a plain-language, well-organised document — not a legal instrument, but a clear, shared reference that all parties can use.

What Every Hearthway Session Includes
Session Confidentiality
All session content is confidential. Hearthway does not share what is discussed with any external party.
Experienced Facilitators
Sessions are run by practitioners with backgrounds in community facilitation and adult education — not volunteers or interns.
Exit at Any Point
Any participant can pause or leave any session at any time. This is non-negotiable in all our services.
PDPA-Compliant Data Use
Personal data collected for booking purposes is handled in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act.
Flexible Scheduling
Sessions can be scheduled Monday to Saturday within our office hours. We work with families to find times that suit all participants.
